From 10,000 feet in a Grumman Tiger to the quiet corners of Venice Beach, my lens seeks the rhythm of life in motion.

These galleries represent my journey through the air, across the water, and deep into the heart of the places I call home.

Nora Feddal is a French-born pilot, sailor, travel photographer, and based in Southern California. After earning her license in France and overcoming the challenges of LA’s complex airspace, she joined The Ninety-Nines Los Angeles Palms Chapter and became an accomplished air racer flying her Grumman Tiger out of Santa Monica. Nora’s humanitarian flying includes multiple missions with LIGA International to Sinaloa, the Flying Samaritans  to Baja California medical clinics and participation in Challenge Air for Kids & Friends, flying children with special needs. She documents these missions through photography, bringing visibility to their humanitarian impact while serving as clinic support. Her aviation excellence and mentorship culminated in being named 2017 Woman Pilot of the Year by The Ninety-Nines Southwest Section, recognizing not only her competitive achievements but her dedication to inspiring women to pursue pilot training and air racing. Through The Ninety-Nines, she proves that confidence can be rebuilt, even after fear.

On the water, Nora’s passion for sailing led her to serve as Commodore of the South Bay Yacht Racing Club and as Principal Race Officer in multiple regattas throughout Southern California. Her leadership blends tactical expertise with deep respect for maritime tradition and community.

Her travel photography documents these adventures across desert and ocean, with work featured on National Geographic. From wild horses in Monument Valley to regatta action off the California coast, her images capture the spirit of movement and discovery.

By day, she works as a Controller, a practical foundation that enables her to pursue aviation, sailing, and photography with the freedom these passions deserve. Whether racing through desert skies or documenting wildlife in remote landscapes, Nora lives intentionally between wind, water, and endless horizon.
